- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or misuse of our products
- Comply with applicable laws (tax, recordkeeping, regulatory requests)
- Send research-content emails only if you opt in (you can unsubscribe anytime)
Sharing & processors
We share personal data only with vetted service providers acting on our behalf, including:
- Payment processor — to charge and refund payment methods
- Shipping carriers — to deliver vials and provide tracking
- Email provider — for transactional and (opt-in) marketing email
- Hosting & analytics — privacy-preserving website infrastructure and aggregate analytics
We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information when required by law, court order, or to protect our rights, products, or users.
Sale or sharing of personal information
G0 Labs does not sell your personal information for money, and we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law. We have not sold or shared personal information in the preceding 12 months. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 21. If our practices ever change, we will update this policy and provide a "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" mechanism before doing so.
Cookies & tracking
The G0 Labs site uses a small number of cookies that keep your cart and session working, remember your sign-in, and help us understand which pages are visited (in aggregate, never tied to your name). You can disable non-essential cookies in your browser at any time.
- Strictly necessary — cart, checkout, session, and sign-in. These are required for the site to function and cannot be switched off.
- Analytics — privacy-preserving, aggregate measurement of which pages are used, to improve the site.
Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. Because there is no consistent industry standard for how to respond, our site does not currently respond differently to DNT signals. We do not track you across third-party websites for advertising. Where required by law, we treat recognized opt-out preference signals (such as Global Privacy Control) as a valid request to opt out of sale/sharing — though, as noted above, we do not sell or share personal information.
Retention
We retain account and order data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with tax, legal, and recordkeeping requirements. You can request deletion of your account by contacting us — some records (such as financial transactions) may be retained as required by law.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain uses. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@g0labs.org. We will respond within the time required by applicable law (generally within 30–45 days).
California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, gives you specific rights. This section describes the categories of personal information we handle and how to exercise those rights.
Categories of personal information we collect
In the past 12 months we have collected the following statutory categories, from the sources and for the business purposes described elsewhere in this policy:
| CCPA category | Examples we collect | Disclosed to processors? |
|---|---|---|
| Identifiers | Name, email, account ID, IP address | Yes — for orders, email, hosting |
| Customer records & commercial information | Shipping address, orders, purchase history | Yes — payment & shipping |
| Internet/network activity | Pages viewed, browser/device type | Yes — hosting & aggregate analytics |
| Geolocation (approximate) | City/region inferred from IP | Limited |
| Audio/visual | Photos you send of damaged shipments | No |
| Account credentials (sensitive) | Hashed password used only to authenticate you | No |
Sources: directly from you, automatically from your device/browser, and from our payment and shipping providers. Sensitive personal information (login credentials) is used only to provide the service and secure your account — not for any purpose that would trigger a right to limit its use. We do not use personal information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
Your California rights
- Know / access — the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, the sources, the purposes, and the categories disclosed.
- Delete — request deletion of personal information we hold, subject to legal exceptions.
- Correct — request correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Opt out of sale/sharing — we do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of.
- Limit sensitive information — we do not use sensitive personal information for purposes that require this option.
- Non-discrimination — we will not deny service, charge different prices, or provide a different quality of service because you exercised a right.
To exercise these rights, email hello@g0labs.org with the subject "California Privacy Request." We will verify your request by matching information to your account before responding. You may use an authorized agent (with proof of authorization). California's "Shine the Light" law (Civil Code § 1798.83): we do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct-marketing purposes.
Canada (PIPEDA)
For customers in Canada, G0 Labs handles personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). We collect, use, and disclose personal information with your knowledge and consent for the purposes described in this policy, and you may request access to or correction of the personal information we hold about you by contacting us. If you have an unresolved concern, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
International data transfers
G0 Labs is based in the United States, and the personal information we collect is processed and stored in the United States and other jurisdictions where our service providers operate. Privacy laws in these jurisdictions may differ from those where you live. By using the site or placing an order, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. We use reputable providers that maintain appropriate safeguards.
Security & breach
We protect your information using industry-standard practices: TLS in transit, encryption at rest for sensitive fields, hashed passwords, scoped access, and audit logging. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we treat protection of your data seriously. In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify affected users and applicable regulators as required by law.
Third-party links
Our site and emails may link to third-party websites, scientific literature, or services that we do not control. This policy does not apply to those third parties, and we are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Review the privacy policy of any third-party site you visit.
Children
G0 Labs does not knowingly sell to or collect personal information from individuals under 21. The site and products are intended for qualified adult researchers only.
Changes
We may revise this policy as our practices evolve. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date and, where appropriate, notified to account holders by email.
